About Hall, Ruth - Child Minder

Other Information In 2009 I attained a BA Honours Degree in Fashion Promotion and Imaging and decided that I would like to use my creative and communication skills in a rewarding role where I could care for children and support them in their learning and development. In September 2010 I moved to Plymouth to become a live-in nanny to my closest friend's children. I began to care for one 18 month old and later cared for a new born sibling. In June 2014 I registered with Ofsted to become a childminder and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I take the children in my care to different activities such as toddler groups, the park and "rhyme time" at Stoke Library. I offer arts and crafts, baking and even a bit of toddler yoga! Whatever they are into, sparks their interest and makes them happy. I have a separate playroom full of toys, which is also a great space to engage in quieter play and process after a mornings stimulating activity. I thoroughly enjoy working in partnership with parents to care for their children and support their developing needs. I complete a photographic learning journeys for all of the children within my care. I have nannied since September 2010 and registered with Ofsted to become a childminder in June 2014. I have cared for new born babies, toddlers and children up to the age of eight. I have some paediatric nursing experience and have worked in a support role with individuals with learning disabilities and have used Makaton. I complete regular training through Plymouth City Council in the aim that I will do the best that I can for your child. My Qualifications include: 2:1 Honours Degree in Fashion Promotion and Imaging, One years paediatric Nursing experience, CYPOP5 Training course, Paediatric First Aid course, Emergency First Aid at Work, Understanding child protection, Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults, SENCO Support and Lead Practitioner Training.
