Other Information Jack Jill's Childcare Goosewell is one of the five childcare sites around the city of Plymouth run by the charity The Royal Naval Pre-school Learning Organisation. It opened in 2012 and operates from designated classrooms within Goosewell Academy. It has close links with the school along with other providers and schools in the local area. Jack & Jill's Goosewell works collaboratively and alongside the Jack & Jill's Radford setting based a short walk away. There are 2 large bright play rooms with separate toilets leading off the play room. There is a secure garden to the front of the classroom which allows children to have immediate access to the space allowing free flow play throughout the day. The setting also has an open invitation from the school to use all the school facilities including the use of the school field, play ground, hall and access to the Foundation unit through an interior door. Staff ratios remain high, 1:8, promoting adult and child interactions and ensuring that children's needs and wishes are meet accordingly. All key staff have achieved a minimum of NVQ Level 2 and 3. We have two members of staff with a degree in Early Childhood Studies. The children have plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoor environments through acces to a designated outdoor space as well as the school playground, field and exploring the community.The setting has a wealth of experience with children of different needs, cultures and abilities and accepts all on an equal and inclusive basis.
