Other Information Here at Bobtails we cater for children from the ages 2-11 years. We are a Committee run nursery, which means parents and other valuable members of the community oversee the day to day running of the setting. At Bobtails your child will have his/her own key person who will create activities tailor-made around your child. We eat healthy snacks and enjoy lots of activities in our woodland garden areas. We are very proud to have passed the Bristol Standard self-evaluation framework every year since 2011 and we will continue to learn through reflecting on what we do. Recently the setting has undergone some amazing transformations. The outside area was the first area we wanted to change. As a setting, we recognise the importance of an enabling outside area. Being outdoors has a positive impact on a child's sense of well-being and helps all aspects of a child's development. Being outdoors offers opportunities for doing things in different ways and on different scales than when indoors. It gives children first-hand contact with weather, seasons and the natural world. Outdoor environments offer children the freedom to explore, use their senses, and be physically active and exuberant.
