Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Google Maps
An iframe is rendered as well as a structural element which are not strictly necessary for the use of the site, but cause issues due to non-compliance. There are also issues with the map pins, map images, and other images utilised by Google Maps not having alt text, and the provider names not easily being read out, that are causing issues for assistive technology. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (A) Non-text Content, 1.3.1 (A) Info and Relationships, 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value
We plan to improve the experience for assistive technology users whenever Google Maps or a suitable alternative allows and will ensure this is looked into regularly as we hope to be compliant by December 2021.
Appearance
A few elements do not allow the user to easily change the colours, fonts, text appearance, or spacing via their browser, mostly caused by a third party Javascript library Knockout, using the <i> tag to format text. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (A) Info and Relationships and 1.4.12 (AA) Text Spacing
We plan to ensure to be compliant by June 2021.
What we‘re doing to improve accessibility
We plan to improve the accessibility of this website with our ongoing release schedule.
