Other Information Jack and Jill's Childcare Goosewell is one of the five childcare sites around the city of Plymouth run by the charity The Royal Naval Pre-school Learning Organisation. It opened in 2012 and operates within Goosewell Academy. It has close links with the school along with other providers and schools in the local area. Jack & Jill's Goosewell is the follow on from our Radford nursery setting where most of our children start their early years journey, seamlessly transitioning into preschool. Our bright spacious room gives opportunities for children to use their imagination and progress in their development. We free-flow into our outdoor space, although compact we have made the best of the space providing children with various learning opportunities in outdoor play. We are fortunate to be able to use the main Goosewell Academy school reception outside area, playground and fields throughout the day also, as well as the drama hall for more physical indoor activities. We work closely with the reception staff to ensure a smooth transition into the school when the time comes. We explore our local area, by taking walks and visiting local care homes where we take some of our work a story and musical instruments and we entertain the residents on a regular basis. We are a strong supportive and caring team, with a wealth of knowledge and many years of experience giving the children an enriching learning environment. All children in our setting are settled and happy with us and our families all feel well supported both service and civilian. We have fantastic feedback and praise from them for all that we do.
