About Plympton St Maurice Childcare Centre - Day Care

Other Information Plympton St Maurice Childcare Centre offers affordable childcare for children aged 3 months to 11 years and we offer a variety of sessions to allow flexibility. The Centre also offers wrap-around childcare which includes breakfast, tea and holiday clubs for children. The holiday clubs are open to all children aged 3 months to 11 years (not just children that usually attend the Nursery). The organisation is a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance (PLA) and is a non-profit making charity. Being situated on the primary school site has enabled us to forge strong links with them. We are OFSTED approved and able to accept all eligible funding. The childcare centre has its own large play area with a separate area for the babies, which can be accessed by all 3 age groups. We are also lucky enough to have access to the school field which provides the children with an outside classroom and Forest School area. We can also use the large playground and trim trail play areas. We often take the children for walks to the local areas which include the castle green, the park and the stream to visit the ducks. We are an inclusive setting. We have a dedicated SENDCo, and interventions include BLAST.

We offer 32 places in Pre-school, 20 Toddler places, and 12 Babies, at any one time (a total of 64 at any one time in the Nursery). You can have funded sessions of either 30hrs over 38 weeks (term time), or 24hrs stretched funding over 47 weeks of the year. We are open from 7-6pm 51 weeks of the year (closed during Christmas & New year & also bank holidays). Funded sessions can be used during any of these times.
